Republic Day

It was a pleasant morning…there was something special about this morning…everybody was excited and some preparations were going on in the school…Yes it was Republic Day! and its presence could be felt everywhere.
As usual this event was also being handled by the children. Our two young anchors Sajal and Ishita gave a brief introduction of republic day and shared the importance of this auspicious day. The program started with the hosting of flag by Principal and recitation of our National Anthem. Then followed a Bengali song by the children of class VIIth .After the melodious song was a small skit on the life of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar . The audience was spell bound and was completely engrossed in the act.
This was the best occasion to appreciate the participants and the winners of the sports week. So these children were awarded certificates.
Principal Ms. Smita Rathore and Mr. Tushar Tamhane also addressed the children. Mr.Tushar Tamhane told about the importance of hard work where as Ms. Smita Rathore shared the importance of following rules with there is freedom.
The program ended with a wonderful skate dance which took away our breaths.
I’m sure this short and meaningful program left our young citizens with many points to ponder and will help them to make their community a better place to live.

Fear Leads To Failure

"Where the mind is without fear,
and the head is held high,
into the heaven of freedom,
My father let my country awake."
Fear is a state of mind where we are worried about the result of every action and when we concentrate more on results rather than action we fail. So being fearless is the only solution for achieving success. When we are fearless we focus more on action and when we focus more on action the chances of failure are less. We may fail but if we put in real efforts,ultimately it will lead to success.
So be fearless and be successful.

Sport's Meet

A three day sports meet got over on Wednesday, 13th Jan 2010.It was a great experience for the children. The principal of IWS Indore, Smita Rathore inaugurated the sport’s meet, by lighting a lamp. Children were divided into four groups- ‘Bose’, ‘Azad’, ‘Bhagat Singh’ and ‘Mangal Pandey’. The house leaders took the oath and proceeded for the event.
Full enthusiasm was visible on the grounds. Not only the children but also the mentors were full of energy and were involved in all the games. We could see some cheering for Kho-Kho, some busy with cricket scores and some watching football.
There were slight changes in the schedule on Wednesday due to rains on Tuesday night, but there was no change in the enthusiasm and excitement of the children.
The event went off successfully and it was a good learning experience for the children.

Sunlight is Lifelight

Sunlight is Lifelight,
Aunty "Dark" runs out in sunlight.
Every morning sun uncle comes our home,
With his light he fills the joy,energy and life
-to every part of our home.
We miss sun uncle in rainy season,
We love sun uncle more in rainy season.
We wish ourlife will be as good as sunlight,
Full of Fun,Joy,Energy
and show others plenty of light.

सफलता की परिभाषा

सफलता की परिभाषा सबके लिए अलग अर्थ रखती है। मेरी नज़र में सफलता सच्चे मन से किये गए प्रयास को दर्शाती है... क्योंकि वही आपको असली संतुष्टि देती है।
हर प्रयास सफल हो ये आवश्यक नहीं है। लेकिन प्रयास में कोई कमी नहीं हो ये सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है। शिव खेडा के अनुसार किसी भी कार्य की सफलता या असफलता उसके लिए किये गए प्रयासों पर निर्भर करती है।
मेरा विश्वास है की अगर प्रयास निरंतर और मध्यम रहे तो सफलता सदैव साथ रहेगी।
सफलता के लिए आवश्यक है :-

ईमानदारी
निरंतरता
दूरदर्शिता
दूसरों के अच्छे गुणों को अपने में उतरना ही
सफलता कभी पूरी तरह से किस्मत पर निर्भर नहीं करती। एक अच्छी सोच आपकी किस्मत बनाती है। हमारे पूर्वज जो बातें बता गए हैं, यदि हम उसका अनुसरण करें तो हम अवश्य ही सफलता पा सकते हैं। सफलता पाने के बाद कभी उस पर अभिमान नहीं होना चाहिये। सभी का सम्मान करना चाहिये व भाषा भी सय्यमी रहे।
अंत में बस इतना कहना है की सच्चे प्रयास से कठिन से कठिन कार्य भी आसन हो जाते हैं।

Satya and Iti with parents...

“Parents need more counseling than children do” – said Dr. Itishree Mishra, a renowned child psychologist in a seminar with parents on 28th Dec 09’. We need to know the interests of children rather than imposing our expectations on them. The topic for the seminar was “Parenting the Children of Information age”. Dr. Mishra said that we should not overlook the feelings of a child. She suggested that our conversation with the children should be according to their age. We cannot expect them to be adults all of a sudden. She also said, that if there is some behavioral problem with the child, we need to look for the reason at home or with the parents, rather than blaming the child for it. Parents have to work in synchronization with school for the betterment of the child.

Next day on 29th Dec 09, the facilitator of the seminar was Chairman of Career Launcher- Mr. Satya Narayan.R. The Seminar was on “How to help your children to achieve their Dream Career”. Reminding the parents of their childhood he said that we had limited career options with us, either to be a doctor or to be an engineer. We had no options but to fit in the frame provide to us. We could not do anything which was of our interest or which fascinated us. We should now give that freedom and support to our children to achieve their dream career.

Christmas Celebrations

Since morning there was celebrations in air. All the children were very enthusiastic about their event and were busy preparing for it. We could see little Santas ans Marys everywhere. Soon all of us gathered for the celebrations. The programme started a dance of little buds of nursery, which was fun to watch. Then there were carols, role-plays, quizes and lots of stuff. Finally the certificates were awarded to children of Jigrasa group, who participated in extempore held on 19th dec 09’. The programme ended with recitation of “Jingle Bells”. There was a little Santa to distribute chocolates to children… we could see a smile on every child’s face…which was a big enough reason for all of us to be happy.
